Crashing Wheels on Concrete

Crashing Wheels on Concrete is a short documentary directed by So Young Shelly Yo. The film follows Kat Sy, a skateboarder & software engineer, as she navigates her way through the Californian skate scene.

The short takes an intimate and introspective look at modern skate culture and it’s complicated relations with race and gender, as seen through the lens of a second-generation Asian American skateboarder.
